Visit Sunshine in the summer and fall and see a transformation from snow and ice that is almost beyond belief!

Sunshine Meadows

In winter, the Sunshine Meadows are covered in over 2 metres of snow. In summer, they become an alpine wonderland of easy walking trails, lakes, and flower-filled meadows. This area straddling the continental divide on the border of Alberta and British Columbia also offers some of North America's most spectacular 360 degree mountain panoramas. If you think the Rockies are spectacular from the valley bottoms, wait till you see them from up here! In autumn, the larch trees turn a brilliant gold making each turn in the trail a breathtaking experience.

White Mountain

At the Sunshine Meadows there are walking trails for all abilities, and plenty of scenic viewpoints and benches along the way. All of this is easily reached by a shuttle bus that drives the 5.5km long Upper Access Road between the base parking lot and the village, also known in winter as the "ski out".

White Mountain Adventures offers the shuttle services, daily guided interpretive walks and food and concession services at the Sunshine Meadows from approximately June 27 until the end of September. Shuttle buses operate daily and travel the access road every hour beginning at 9:00 am. Cost is $25 per adult, $15 for children. Reservations are not required and tickets can be purchased in the same ticket office as our winter operations.
