Slushcup Long Weekend Continues With: SLUSHCUP SUNDAY & The Watergate Banked Slalom

This Slush Cup long weekend, the sun in shining at Banff Sunshine Village. Yesterday, guests enjoyed the sounds of Scenic Route To Alaska as they twisted and turned on the mountainous slopes, and in our 4th annual SlushShine Rail Jam.

Today, our final weekend of ski and ride celebrations continues with our first ever annual Watergate Banked Slalom event. "The Watergate Banked Slalom event is a new race style event that we're beyond excited to introduce to our friends this Slushcup Long Weekend!" Say's resort spokesperson Kendra Scurfield. "Essentially the Watergate Banked Slalom event is a slushy take on the classic snowboard event. This year skiers and snowboarders will race the clock as they keep their speed through the burns, banked turns, and water pools of the course."

What makes the Watergate Banked Slalom course unique is that the event is open to skiers and snowboarders of all levels, abilities, and ages. The Watergate Banked Slalom event is taking place at the bottom of Strawberry Hill.

This Slushcup Long Weekend, We're soaking in the balmy weather and gorgeous Sunshine. The most recent weather update from Environment Canada predicts Sunshine with a high of 15 C today and tomorrow (Slush Cup Monday). Thanks to Mother Nature, and her generous gifts of snow all winter long, skiers and snowboarders will be enjoying our wide open terrain all weekend long. All lifts will be open until 4:30 pm on Monday, May 22nd.
