The phones have been ringing off the hook at Sunshine Village with skiers and riders anxious to pick up one of the best deal in the Rockies. Thanks to popular demand, the 2010-11 Early Bird season pass sale has been extended until June 14.

That means skiers and riders who missed the May 31 deadline and still want to get a jump on next season’s best snow — at the best possible price – have another chance at doing so.

“The response from local skiers and snowboarders has been exceptional,” says Doug Firby, associate director of communications for Sunshine Village. “We’re really heartened by the local support.”

Until June 14, skiers and riders can pop into Sunshine Village’s Snow Central in Calgary at 1037 11th Ave. S.W., visit SKIBANFF.COM, or call 1-87-SKI-BANFF (1-877-542-2633) to pick up a pass for the 2010-11 season.

And as a continued thank you to our western Canadian fans, our prices are frozen at last year’s level. Adult passes are just $659 and midweek, student, senior and youth passes, just $499. All this for a projected 193 days on Canada’s Best Snow.

The 2010-11 season is expected to kick off Nov. 11, 2010, and runs through the end of May, weather permitting.
When Sunshine opens again this fall, skiers will not only be treated to Canada’s Best Snow – they’ll also be able to ride Sunshine’s ninth super-lift: The High-Speed Strawberry Quad.

The Creekside building at the gondola base is also undergoing major renovations. The restaurant, retail area, snack bar and skier services areas are all being completely redone to improve customer convenience.
